“Who’s Afraid of a Cheap Old House?” follows Elizabeth and Ethan Finkelstein, founders of the popular Instagram account, @CheapOldHouses, as they embark on the journey of helping people find their dream cheap, old houses and turn their neglected properties into beautiful, livable spaces. In the eight-episode first season, the Finkelsteins guide eight families through the process of finding their dream home for under $199,000, then make it their own, while still maintaining the historic home's innate charm and decades of history.
With Elizabeth’s background in historic preservation, and Ethan’s interest in Do-It-Yourself restoration projects, they take their passion for saving old properties and share it with the world. For the next eight weeks, HGTV viewers can enjoy seeing complete transformations of historic "Cheap Old Houses" into lovingly restored homes.
Sponge-Jet is thrilled to be a part of the season premiere episode airing next Tuesday, May 14th! Sponge-Jet Technology was chosen as the solution for a building restoration project on a property in Upstate New York. Follow partners Bill and Joe, as they make the tough decision between renovating a former fraternal meeting hall with exposed brick, or a firehouse with tin ceilings and walls.
