When process vessels were facing significant corrosion and breakdown of their existing coatings, Corroless Eastern Limited was asked to provide a solution that would solve the issue of failing coatings while prepping and recoating their capital assets. This presented challenges, as they had to accommodate the vessels’ operational temperature cycles and minimize dust generation inside the manufacturing setting.

The solution involved removing poorly adhered coatings and prepping the surface to an SA2.5 standard. This was made possible by Sponge-Jet blasting, combined with a 6,000CFM dust extractor for a nearly dust-free environment. The steel was then coated with Acothane DW, a solvent-free and highly durable coating that is approved for drinking water standards. This process guarantees long-lasting corrosion protection and prevents premature asset failure.
